Co-Homing Earns ShiftingPact® Certification: A Milestone Toward Sustainable Urban Living
We’re proud to announce that Co-Homing is now officially certified by ShiftingPact®, a recognition that marks a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
ShiftingPact® is a certification designed specifically for (very) small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to place sustainability at the heart of their operations. With a focus on innovation, transparency, and engagement, the certification helps businesses align with strong environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. Today, over 40 organizations have joined the movement—and Co-Homing is proud to be among them.
What This Means for Co-Homing
At Co-Homing, our mission has always been to create more inclusive, sustainable cities and communities. We promote shared housing models that encourage better use of real estate resources, while fostering participatory management and strengthening local ties. Through these efforts, we aim to build resilient, dynamic urban environments where space is managed responsibly and collectively.
With a ShiftingPact® score of 54, Co-Homing has been recognized as a company demonstrating clear awareness of our sustainability challenges, having implemented key practices, and showing strong commitment to progress. The average score across certified companies is 57, and we’re well on track to reach the“Sustainable” maturity level within the next two years.
We’re especially proud of the environmental and social leadership we’ve already shown—and we’re just getting started.
Our Commitments for 2025–2027
As part of our two-year Commitment Pact, Co-Homing will take concrete actions to deepen our impact, including:
Signing a green electricity contract with our energy provider
Implementing a responsible purchasing policy, prioritizing recycled or renewable materials and reducing waste at the source
Including a statement on equity and inclusion in all job offers
Reviewing job description language to ensure it is inclusive and welcoming
Clearly communicating anti-harassment and anti-violence policies, including definitions of unacceptable behavior and consequences
Appointing at least one independent board member who is neither a founder nor owner of the organization
Introducing performance indicators to measure our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Publishing the environmental impact of our business model
Publicly sharing the SDGs we support, both directly and indirectly
This certification is not just a badge—it’s a responsibility and a roadmap. We’re excited to continue this journey with our community, partners, and peers, and to help shape a more sustainable, inclusive urban future.
